Prohibited & Restricted Items
Do not send restricted, hazardous or regulated cargo without written approval from ENROUTE.
1. Prohibited cargo
ENROUTE does not knowingly accept illegal drugs, counterfeit goods, unlawfully held firearms or ammunition, explosives, stolen property or any item prohibited by U.S. export law, Barbados import law, a carrier or a government authority.
2. Prior approval required
The following require review before purchase or shipment:
- Batteries, power banks and battery-powered equipment
- Perfume, aerosols, paint, chemicals, fuels and flammable liquids
- Compressed gases and fire extinguishers
- Food, plants, seeds, agricultural products and animal products
- Medicines, supplements, cosmetics and medical devices
- Alcohol and tobacco products
- Engines, machinery or parts containing oil, fuel or residue
- High-value, fragile, perishable or temperature-sensitive items
- Weapons, security equipment and controlled technology
3. Customer obligations
Customers must provide accurate product details, safety data sheets, permits, licences and packaging information when requested. Acceptance at a warehouse does not mean the item is approved for transport or import.
4. Consequences of non-disclosure
Undeclared or non-compliant cargo may be held, refused, repacked, returned, destroyed or surrendered to an authority. The customer is responsible for resulting freight, handling, storage, penalties, return and disposal costs.
