Shipping Policy
How ENROUTE receives, prices, ships, clears and delivers personal, business and bulk cargo.
1. Service scope
ENROUTE arranges ocean shipping, consolidation, customs coordination and Barbados delivery through third-party service providers. Air freight is offered only for approved business shipping solutions. The available route and method depend on the customer type, cargo, carrier rules and space.
2. Quotations
Shipping charges are provided by quotation after ENROUTE reviews the cargo type, quantity, dimensions, weight, handling requirements and delivery location. Quotes are estimates until the cargo is received, inspected, reweighed and remeasured. The final confirmed charge applies.
3. Possible additional charges
- Barbados delivery
- Insurance at 2% of the declared item value, where coverage is available
- Brokerage, with a BBD $10 minimum
- Palletisation, repacking, special equipment or additional handling
- Storage, failed-delivery or redelivery charges
- Customs duties, VAT, levies, examination fees, permits and other government charges
4. Rating rules
Cargo is reweighed and remeasured after receipt. Cubic feet are calculated as length × width × height in inches ÷ 1,728. Charges may be based on weight, measurement or special handling requirements. Pallets, barrels, hazardous cargo, oversized pieces, special commodities and consolidated deliveries require individual review and may require a custom quote.
5. Invoices and tracking
Customers must provide supplier invoices and tracking numbers promptly. Missing or inaccurate documentation may delay receiving, shipping, clearance or delivery and may create additional charges.
6. Customs
Barbados Customs and other authorities determine classification, value, duties, VAT, examination and release. ENROUTE may provide estimates but cannot guarantee a Customs outcome. Customers remain responsible for all government charges and supporting documents.
7. Delivery and storage
Delivery is quoted separately according to location, cargo size, weight, access and equipment required. Additional charges may apply after a failed attempt or where cargo cannot be delivered safely. Third-party warehouse, port and carrier storage rules may also apply.
8. Cancellation and refunds
Charges already incurred or services already performed are non-refundable. Once cargo is dispatched, carrier and handling charges are generally non-refundable. Refused, prohibited or returned cargo moves at the customer’s cost.
